Doctors Care About Bronchiectasis

I keep up on the disease of bronchiectasis. As I have shared, I was diagnosed with it in 2017 and still suffer. There is no cure!
I had always been excited to have avoided any trips to the emergency room, but that streak ended on 6/6. The good news is that my trip to Methodist Hospital, beginning about 11 PM, went very well. I hope to never need to go again, but I am well aware that it may happen again.
This morning, I got a video from AJMC, which is the American Journal of Managed Care, about caring for the disease. MJH Life Sciences, based in New Jersey, runs AJMC and many other online periodicals. I wanted to share this video:

The panelists, all doctors, were "excited" about the developments. Each of the four doctors felt similarly, citing the upcoming potential FDA approval of Insmed's brendocatib in August. Bronchiectasis is no longer so rare. I was glad to hear these doctors discuss the progress, and none of them even mentioned the recent death of the Pope, who suffered from the disease.
My doctor has suggested that I start taking a biological drug, Dupixent, which has never been approved for treatment of bronchiectasis, though it supposedly helps (and with asthma too). It is approved for another lung disease, COPD, as well as for Eczema.
Again, there is no cure, and the new drug, if approved, is not one either. It is a potential treatment. If you want to learn more, I have written about bronchiectasis here four times previously.
