I wrote a piece here in December about my interest in ETFs, concluding that not all ETFs are good. That piece included something about every ETF article that I had published at Seeking Alpha since October 19th. I have published a few more since then:
01/04: Why NOBL Could Falter
01/12: SMDV: Why I Still Like It
The last one was by my new alias at Seeking Alpha, The Intelligent ETF Investor. I continue to publish articles on cannabis stocks primarily with my original Seeking Alpha account, Alan Brochstein, CFA. I first started publishing articles at Seeking Alpha in early 2007.
I am planning to launch a new subscription service at Seeking Alpha, where I now host 420 Investor. I have written about this on my blog at Seeking Alpha. At year-end, I created a model portfolio, which I detailed on a blog post as well. This model portfolio aims to beat the 60/40 blend of stocks and bonds (as measured by the S&P 500 and the Aggregate Bond Index). The index is up 1.29% so far in 2026, while the model portfolio, which holds 6 ETFs, has gained 2.2%.
My current ratings on ETFs in articles at Seeking Alpha range from Strong Buy to Strong Sell:

I have written about two dozen ETFs, but my ETF Focus List has a total of 78 names. Here is the entire list sorted by year-to-date returns with a lot of additional information:
I am looking forward to getting even more focused on ETFs! Want to follow what I am doing? I set up an Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/the_intelligent_etf_analyst/
