Trimming This ETF
I added this ETF when it fell sharply, and it kept falling. I have already trimmed a bit, and now I am selling more iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) on a fill of a gap from earlier this month that has left a gap below. I am boosting Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index Fund ETF (VTIP). The trades: Sell 50 IBIT at $37.83 Buy 35 VTIP at $50.36 The updated model portfolio:

Magnificent 7 Is Dying
Last week, I warned to be careful with small-cap stocks, and they actually did rise slightly this week. A Look at the Market The State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) did bounce back from a big sell-off earlier during the week to end up for the week, though it is down month-to-date. It has increased in price by 8.8% and has returned 9.1% with dividends. Bonds remain under pressure, with iShares Core US Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG) now returning just 0.2% with dividends included, wh

Trimming This Cheap ETF
I think that it is very cheap still and likely to rise, but I am reducing iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) above where I recently added it on Tuesday (at $34.82) but below my average purchase price of $37.34. I am adding to Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). The trades: Sell 50 IBIT at $36.14 Buy 30 VGSH at $58.20 The updated model portfolio:

I am doing it again at slightly better prices. The trades: Sell 50 VTIP at $50.34 Buy 50 LTPZ at $50.47 The updated model portfolio:

Trimming This Large-Cap ETF Again
I have already reduced it, but it has been outpacing the market and my other equity ETFs, and I am reducing ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF (NOBL) again. While I would ordinarily raise more cash, my equity weight is very low, and I am going to boost State Street Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLU) again. The trades: Sell 35 NOBL at $54.96 Buy 45 XLU at $43.85 The updated model portfolio:

Be Careful with Small-Cap Stocks
Last week, I shared my complete list of ETFs that I closely follow, providing a lot of information, as I detailed that stocks went up a lot in May. A Look at the Market Stocks extended their bounce this week further at the beginning of this week. The State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) rallied until Friday, when it dropped 2.6%. It has increased in price by 8.2% and has returned 8.5% with dividends. Bonds remain under pressure, with iShares Core US Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG) now

The trades: Sell 25 VTIP at $50.32 Buy 35 LTPZ at $50.49 The updated model portfolio:

An Equity ETF Swap

More Bitcoin!
Yesterday, I started a position in iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), and I am boosting it today at a lower price. IIt was hit hard yesterday on news about MSTR selling some and also what has been going on with flows out of ETFs. I am trimming PIMCO 15+ Year US TIPS Index ETF (LTPZ), which just paid a dividend this week. I still have a lot! The trades: Sell 35 LTPZ at $50.71 Buy 55 IBIT at $37.91 The updated model portfolio:

Adding This One Again
I am not a fan of Bitcoin, but I did successfully buy and sell iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) earlier this year, and I am buying it back at the depressed price after a move lower over the past month or so. Stocks Went Up Again In May
Last week, I discussed what stocks will do after Memorial Day. Last week, they did exactly what they were doing before: rallying. A Look at the Market Stocks extended their bounce this week further this week. The State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) has increased in price by 10.9% and has returned 11.2% with dividends. Bonds remain under pressure, with iShares Core US Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG) now returning 0.5% with dividends included. I do try to share an idea in this section

TIPS Reduction
I still like TIPS, but I am reducing them. With oil prices falling and perhaps about to fall more, inflation protection may lose some of its appeal. I still have a lot of TIPS after reducing PIMCO 15+ Year US TIPS Index ETF (LTPZ) and Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index ETF (VTIP) to add to Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). The trades: Sell 40 LTPZ at $51.35 Sell 25 VTIP at $50.38 Buy 50 VGSH at $58.32 The updated model portfolio:

Equity ETF Swap
I trimmed it yesterday, and it is higher today with another gap. I am reducing ProShares R2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) again, but I am adding to ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF (NOBL) this time. NOBL has lagged greatly the performance of SMDV and the S&P 500. The trades: Sell 35 SMDV at $73.50 Buy 25 NOBL at $108.50 The updated model portfolio:

Taking Profits On This Equity ETF
I still like ProShares R2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) a lot, but it has increased again and is up a lot year-to-date. It is not my largest equity holding right now, but I am cutting it again to add to a non-equity ETF, Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). I last trimmed SMDV in mid-April at a higher price, adding to an ETF I no longer own, RSP. The price on 4/17 was $73.52, which was very near the 52-week high of 74.43 in February. I had sold some on April 9

What Stocks Will Do After Memorial Day
Last week, I discussed why I like three dividend-focused ETFs, all of which are in my ETF model portfolio. That post was on my blog at Seeking Alpha, to which I no longer have access for writing articles. Why? As I stated last week, I am in the process of closing my two cannabis-related services, 420 Investor and New Cannabis Ventures. While NCV remains open, 420 Investor closed. With the closure, I can no longer post new posts to the blog, which I launched in 2009. I love Se
