Mid-Cap to Small-Cap Trade
Year-to-date, ProShares Russell 2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) is ahead of the ProShares S&P 400 Mid-Cap 400 Dividend Aristocrates ETF (REGL), but small-caps are beating mid-caps by more. Here is a look at the action since late 2022: In Q3 so far, REGL has advanced 2.6%, while SMDV has declined by 0.3%. I am swapping some REGL for some SMDV. The trades: Sell 50 REGL at $93.91 Buy 75 SMDV at $76.81 The updated model portfolio:

More Equity
I like TIPS a lot and fear equities are going lower, but I am trimming PIMCO 15+Year US TIPS Index ETF (LTPZ) and adding again to ProShares Russell 2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV). The trades: Sell 25 LTPZ at $48.49 Buy 25 SMDV at $76.76 The updated model portfolio:

Adding More Equities
I added it yesterday, and it is lower today and still up a lot year-to-date, but ProShares Russell 2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) is very attractive relative to the S&P 500 still in my view, and I am very underweight stocks in my model portfolio. I am reducing Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index ETF (VGSH) a bit more too. The trades: Sell 50 VGSH at $58.14 Buy 50 SMDV at $77.11 The updated model portfolio:

Equity ETF Swap
While I remain extremely bearish on stocks, I am adding ProShares Russell 2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) back at a higher price than where I exited it on June 24th. I bought RSP then, which has gone up a lot more, but I turned that into ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF (NOBL), which has done even better. Today, I am exiting NOBL and adding SMDV back, spending a little cash too. The trades: Sell all (100 shares) NOBL at $58.85 Buy 100 SMDV at $77.47 The updated mod

Goodbye for Now
I have loved this equity ETF and still like it a lot. I began the year with 15% exposure to it. It is at a new all-time high, and I am exiting ProShares R2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV). I am adding back a new position in Invesco S&P 500 Eql Wght ETF (RSP) The trades: Sell all 65 shares) SMDV at $75.86 Buy 20 RSP at $208.88 The updated model portfolio:

Why I Have Reduced a Great Equity ETF
Last week, I discussed how the Magnificent 7 or Elite 8, which are lagging the rally this year, are facing extinction. I mentioned new super-mega-cap SpaceX as well as other pending IPOs. A Look at the Market The State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) shot up Monday and pulled back during the rest of the holiday-shortened week, ending up for the week, though it is still own month-to-date. It has increased in price by 9.5% and has returned 10.1% with dividends. Bonds remain under

Equity ETF Swap And More
On May 27th, I boosted ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF (NOBL) and trimmed ProShares R2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV). This trade has resulted in a smaller loss than the model portfolio would have experienced otherwise. Today, I am reversing that trade. Earlier today, I boosted iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), and it is lower now. I am adding to it again a bit with the proceeds of this reduction in Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index ETF (VTIP

Taking Profits On This Equity ETF
I still like ProShares R2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) a lot, but it has increased again and is up a lot year-to-date. It is not my largest equity holding right now, but I am cutting it again to add to a non-equity ETF, Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). I last trimmed SMDV in mid-April at a higher price, adding to an ETF I no longer own, RSP. The price on 4/17 was $73.52, which was very near the 52-week high of 74.43 in February. I had sold some on April 9
