On June 11th, I extended from Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index ETF (VTIP) to PIMCO 15+ Year US TIPS Index ETF (LTPZ) in my model portfolio. Today, I am trimming LTPZ and also reducing Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index ETF (VGSH) to add to VTIP. Yesterday, I trimmed a very large position, but I didn't sell enough! Today, I am buying more iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) at a lower price. Bitcoin, is down, but so are other precious metals. Today, I am reducing at a small loss some of the Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index ETF (VGSH). The trades: Sell 55 VGSH at $58.11 Buy 100 IBIT at $35.38 The updated model portfolio:

It is not in the index that I am trying to beat (60/40), and it is very large in my ETF model portfolio, but I am boosting iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) again at a lower price than yesterday. I am funding this purchase the same way, by trimming Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). I would sell some stock ETFs to fund it, but I am already very low equity exposure. I have trimmed it twice, and iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) falls outside of the index that I am striving to beat (and beating soundly), but I am boosting it now below my last trim level. I am funding the trade with a reduction in Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). I am doing this trade pre-market, which is rare for this model portfolio, but IBIT has gapped down. I added this ETF when it fell sharply, and it kept falling. I have already trimmed a bit, and now I am selling more iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) on a fill of a gap from earlier this month that has left a gap below. I think that it is very cheap still and likely to rise, but I am reducing iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) above where I recently added it on Tuesday (at $34.82) but below my average purchase price of $37.34. I still like TIPS, but I am reducing them. With oil prices falling and perhaps about to fall more, inflation protection may lose some of its appeal. I still have a lot of TIPS after reducing PIMCO 15+ Year US TIPS Index ETF (LTPZ) and Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index ETF (VTIP) to add to Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). I still like ProShares R2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) a lot, but it has increased again and is up a lot year-to-date. It is not my largest equity holding right now, but I am cutting it again to add to a non-equity ETF, Vanguard Short-Term Treasury Index Fund ETF (VGSH). I last trimmed SMDV in mid-April at a higher price, adding to an ETF I no longer own, RSP. The price on 4/17 was $73.52, which was very near the 52-week high of 74.43 in February.
